The San Diego Mesa College Olympians continued their undefeated season with a 40-14 victory over Grossmont College. Fueled by a stellar defensive performance and a season-high 490 yards of total offense, the Olympians dominated on both sides of the ball.
Quarterback Jax Leatherwood delivered a solid performance, completing 16 of 25 passes for 218 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Dylan Curry also made key contributions, going 7 for 9 with 125 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Curry's standout moment came in the second quarter when he connected with Nathan Porter for an electrifying 87-yard touchdown, extending Mesa's lead to 34-14.
The Olympians' defense was equally impressive, with Jaydin Jackson, Simi-Tafa DeLaCruz, and Bryen Spaulding each recording a sack. Jayden Cortell and John Shepard snagged interceptions, with Shepard's pick-six resulting in a 40-yard touchdown return.
