Football Makes It Two Wins In A Row
For the first time since 2018, the LA Pierce Football Team has recorded two wins in a row. Of course, this win would not be easy at all. The Brahmas hosted the Victor Valley Rams in a shootout.
Both teams scored on their opening drives and combined for 63 points in the first half. The two teams gained nearly 1000 yards and nearly 60 first downs. The Brahmas answered back quickly after letting up a touchdown in the first possession. Tennoris Merkel scored on a 57-yard run to answer, the two teams then would trade touchdown runs. Just before the end of the half, Pierce got a key game-changing moment when Seon Wilburn intercepted a pass and set up a Maqael Henderson 8-yard touchdown run with no time in the first half.
In the second half, it would be more low-scoring. Pierce made it a two-possession game with a Valentino Lara 20-yard field goal. Victor Valley cut into the lead with a touchdown, but Ladarius Gatlin's 14-yard touchdown run sealed the game for the Brahmas. The win moved Pierce's record to 3-2 before beginning the conference. Pierce now has a bye week and will prepare for their next game at home against Glendale on Oct 19 at 10 a.m.
