Rams Comeback Earns Third Straight Win
The Victor Valley College Rams pulled off a stunning comeback win against the College of the Desert Roadrunners on November 2nd, 2024, securing their third straight victory and a 3-0 conference record. The Rams' impressive performance has catapulted them to the top of the American Metro Conference standings, tied for 1st place.
Despite a slow start, with the Desert Roadrunners taking an early lead, the Rams never lost hope. In the second half, they mounted a remarkable comeback, outscoring their opponents and ultimately securing a narrow 27-26 victory.
The Rams defense showed to be very strong with a standout performance by Elliot Beasley who has 12 total tackles and an inteception. Holden Eames who intercepted two passes, had 6 total tackles, and 2 pass breakups was a big time contributer, and well as Andrew Olmos, who had 10 total tackles on the day.
Quarterback Seth Burbine played a pivotal role in the Rams' success, completing 14 of 34 passes for 135 yards and a crucial 46-yard touchdown pass to Cael Meisman. Burbine's leadership on the field was instrumental in guiding the team to victory.
Running back Timoth Jamerson was the standout runner for the Rams, rushing for three touchdowns in the second half to secure the win. Jamerson's determination and skill were key factors in the Rams' comeback, as he capitalized on scoring opportunities and led the team to victory.
