In a stunning upset, the Victor Valley College Rams football team secured their first win of the season against the previously 4-1 Santa Ana College football team. The Rams came out on top with a final score of 14-10 in their first American Division Mountain Conference league game of the season.
The victory was a monumental achievement for the Rams, marking the first non-forfeit win of 2nd year head coach David Slover's tenure. The team fought hard and played with determination to secure the win against a strong Santa Ana College team.
Quarterback Seth Burbine led the charge for the Rams, throwing for 187 yards and a touchdown. His connection with wide receiver Jett Anderson proved to be crucial, as Anderson caught a 13-yard pass for a touchdown early in the game.
The Rams' defense also stepped up in a big way, with defensive end Lorenz Cammon making a game-changing play with a 52-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the third quarter. This defensive touchdown proved to be the difference-maker in the game.
