GCC Football falls to Desert 33-14 Sept. 2 in home opener at Sartoris Field
In humid and sometimes wet conditions, the GCC Football Team battled visiting College of the Desert almost even for three quarters before falling 33-14 in a non-league matchup Sept. 2 at Sartoris Field.
 
The Vaqs trailed just 9-7 at halftime and 19-14 after three quarters but could not generate much offense, amassing just 267 yards on the ground and in the air.
 
Quarterback Dylan Hassid completed 19 of 25 passes for 166 yards and Dontrea King caught six balls for 50 yards. Michael Harp was the leading rusher with 50 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
 
Glendale hits the road Saturday Sept. 9 at Victor Valley College at 6 pm.
