GCC dominates Victory Valley 36-6 on the road Sept. 9 to improve to 1-1
In a game the GCC Football Team dominated wire to wire, the visiting Vaqueros led 34-0 at halftime and rolled to a 34-6 win over Victor Valley College Sept. 9 to improve to 1-1 this season.
 
Quarterback Dylan Hassid was the stat leader for GCC with 270 yards passing on 23 of 38 and three scores and was also the leading rusher with 30 yards for 300 yards of total offense. Jahrique Love caught eight passes for 90 yards and a score and Diontrea King caught five passes for 64 yards and one touchdown.
 
The Vaqs also made big plays on defense and special teams as Sione Manu intercepted a pass and returned it 83 yards for a touchdown to make the score 14-0 in the first quarter and Jesus Rios scored on a blocked punt and a safety. Kayden Williams led the team with eight tackles, seven solo.
 
Glendale returns home Saturday Sept.9 to host Santa Ana College.
