SBVC Football knocks out the Wildcats, 47-24

SBVC (2-0) allowed a big play to open the game, and then proceeded to pummel the visitors with 21 unanswered points, both teams went into halftime with SBVC up 24-14, but the gloves would come off in the second half as SBVC exploded for 16 points in less than two minutes and cruised to victory over the Culver City West Los Angeles Wildcats (0-2), 47-24.

SBVC sophomore linebacker Neamitupou Tuifua (Kailua, HI Waimanalo) led the team with 11 total tackles (5 solo), a quarterback hurry, an interception totaling 12 yards, a shared sack, one broken up pass, and two tackles for loss totaling 16 yards in the win.

SBVC sophomore running back Kendrick Dorn (Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos) out-gained the entire opposing team on the ground by himself, grabbing 152 total yards on 29 carries, two rushing touchdowns, a long of 21 yards, averaging 5.2 yards per carry and snagging two passes for 14 yards on the evening.

SBVC freshman running back Henry Smith (Gary, IN Westside) was getting his all-purpose yards in the ground, in the air and on kick-off return as he accumulated 68 total yards in those three areas in a balanced attack.
