League championships, playoff spots up for grabs in final week of regular season

WEEK 10 RECAP | RESULTS
Riverside, Mt. San Antonio, Fullerton, and Chaffey all continued their unbeaten seasons heading into the final week of the regular season. In the National Division, Riverside cruised to a 38-13 win at San Diego Mesa, Mt. SAC put up 70+ points for the second straight week by beating Long Beach on the road 70-14, and Fullerton won at Saddleback by a final score of 49-30. Chaffey in the American Division moved to 9-0 thanks to a 34-24 victory over Santa Ana. The Dons entered the contest with a 7-1 overall record. Pasadena and LA Southwest both came away with shutouts as PCC defeated Glendale 37-0 and LA Southwest handled LA Pierce 46-0. Ventura narrowly defeated El Camino 21-20 in a pivotal National Northern League game that kept the Pirates on top of the standings.

WEEK 10 SCFA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Offensive: Brandon Nunez, Fullerton (QB, 6-5, 225, So., Mesa, AZ/Mountain View HS)
Nunez had a very impressive night against Saddleback, throwing 5 touchdowns for 183 yards and no interceptions. Nunez also had a huge game on the ground rushing for 125 yards on 10 carries.

Defensive: Brayden Hapner, Mt. San Antonio (DB, 6-0, 170, Fr., Palm Springs, CA/Palm Springs)
Hapner picked off two Long Beach City College passes, one of which he returned 52 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Special Teams/All-Purpose: Iverson Daniels, Antelope Valley (WR, 5-8, 150, So., Los Angeles, CA/Pete Knight HS)
Daniels scored a pair of touchdowns in AVC's loss at Allan Hancock. He had an 82-yard punt return for a TD and added a 14-yard touchdown reception. Daniels totaled 2 punt returns for 115 yards and added 4 receptions for 77 yards.

WEEK 11 PREVIEW
Plenty of big games scheduled for the final week of the regular season with league championship and playoff implications.

National Northern: Ventura (6-0, 8-2) has clinched a tie for the League Championship and will win the title with a win over Canyons (4-2, 5-4). Should Ventura lose, they would tie with Allan Hancock (5-1, 6-3) if Hancock beats El Camino (4-2, 6-3). Ventura would win the tiebreaker, if necessary, and would qualify for the Regional Playoffs.

National Central: Mt. SAC (6-0, 9-0) will play Golden West (6-0, 8-1) to decide the League Championship. The winner qualifies for the Regional Playoffs.

National Southern: Fullerton (6-0, 9-0) will play Riverside (6-0, 9-0) to decide the League Championship. The winner qualifies for the Regional Playoffs.

American Metro: Chaffey (4-0, 9-0) has clinched a tie for the League Championship and will win the title with a win over Victor Valley (1-3, 1-8). Should Chaffey lose, they would tie with the winner of the Santa Ana (3-1, 7-2) vs. Desert (3-1, 6-3) game. Chaffey would win the tiebreaker, if necessary, and would qualify for the American Division Championship Bowl Game.

American Pacific: Pasadena (4-0, 8-1) has clinched a tie for the League Championship and will win the title with a win over LA Valley ( 1-3, 4-5). Should Pasadena lose, they would tie with Glendale (3-1, 6-3) if Glendale beats LA Southwest (2-2, 5-4). Pasadena would win the tiebreaker, if necessary, and would qualify for the American Division Championship Bowl Game.
